Origami Holding Commits $200 Million to New Multifunctional Complex on Ambassadori Island Batumi

BATUMI, Georgia, Aug. 28, 2026 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Origami Holding, a real estate development and management group operating in Georgia, has acquired land on Ambassadori Island Batumi and plans to develop a $200 million multifunctional complex on the site, comprising residential and commercial spaces within the broader Ambassadori Island development.

The mixed-use development will sit within the Ambassadori Island infrastructure and is intended to strengthen Batumi’s position as a growing hub for hospitality and commercial real estate on the Black Sea coast, in line with the region’s ongoing economic and tourism development.

An Established Regional Player

Origami Holding traces its roots to 2008, when it was founded in Batumi as BWC. Today the group runs three primary divisions — Architecture, Development, and Hospitality — with a workforce of up to 600 professionals. Its operational record includes:

  • 3,000,000+ Sq.M Designed — architectural planning and design across multiple urban projects in Georgia over an 18-year period.
  • 200,000+ Sq.M Built — completed construction, including the White Sails residential enclave and the Well Home complex in Batumi.
  • 1,000,000+ Guests Welcomed — hospitality management across completed residential and hotel properties.

Project Scope and Market Positioning

Planned in accordance with current urban planning and environmental standards, the complex will combine residential and commercial spaces built to international technical specifications on the artificial island. Key characteristics of the project include:

  • Revenue Potential — residential and commercial units structured to support year-round commercial activity and rental opportunities.
  • Asset Appreciation — real estate on limited coastal land structures typically shows durable demand and long-term value retention.
  • Phased Launch — initial property releases will reach early-stage buyers before the broader market launch.

Timeline and Availability

Following the land acquisition, initial planning and preparatory site works have been completed. Architectural plans, site layouts, and 3D visualizations are published on the company platform. Active sales are scheduled to open on September 1, and initial unit reservations are currently available.
